In an exciting project, empiriecom and the LARS NYSØM brand worked together to develop a better understanding of the brand's target group and optimise brand communication. The starting point was the challenge that Amazon, as the main sales channel, provides little data on shoppers. To change this, a population-representative panel was used. Various groups were identified using targeted questions that shed light on the participants' values and lifestyle. These clusters were then further refined using factor and cluster analyses to find out how differently the target groups react to the LARS NYSØM brand and what associations the brand evokes in potential customers. Two very different target groups emerged: a more material-orientated group and an experience-orientated group. To better understand these segments, demographic data and values were added to create comprehensive personas that can serve as a basis for future marketing strategies. ‘The project was an important step for LARS NYSØM to better understand our target groups and strategically optimise future brand communication,’ say Sebastian Fritz and Patrick Fischer, founders of LARS NYSØM.

droidcon Berlin 2024 was just around the corner again! From 3 to 5 July, the CityCube Berlin was transformed into the hotspot for Android developers from all over the world. For three days, there were exciting presentations, practical workshops and cool codelabs - topics such as Jetpack Compose, Android Automotive, AI/ML, testing and accessibility were just some of the highlights. Especially cool: With the droidcon ticket, you could also attend the FlutterCon talks and further deepen your own knowledge. It was the perfect opportunity to learn new things, exchange ideas and meet up with old colleagues from Android and Flutter development. All in all, droidcon Berlin 2024 was an incredibly informative and rewarding experience, our empiriecom colleagues Nils, Simeon and Slobodan agree!

As part of a survey by the baur.community, consisting of around 25 baur.de customers, whose participants regularly answer topic-related questions about baur.de, the baur.de shopping app developed by empiriecom was recently scrutinised more closely. The BAUR app impresses with its ease of use and clear design. It makes it easy and convenient to shop from anywhere. Many customers like to use the app to browse and then take a closer look at the selected products on their laptop before buying them. A big advantage is the permanent login, which allows constant access to the watch list and shopping basket. Payment and delivery information can be viewed at any time. The app is also appreciated for its exclusive discounts. In an exemplary evaluation, the app received an average score of 1.7. The search function and navigation, which make it easier to find suitable items quickly, were particularly emphasised. The permanent login as well as the wish list and the "My Account" area, in which payment and delivery information is clearly displayed, were also rated positively. Another major advantage of the app is that it can be used from anywhere without having to boot up the PC or open the browser. Compared to the mobile view of the web shop, the app is clearer and easier to use. The permanent login and the fixed "Add to basket" button, which remains clickable even after scrolling, were perceived as particularly practical. The exclusive app discounts round off the positive image of the Baur app.
