WIIT AG and empiriecom agree on joint strategic partnership

In order to open up new sectors and countries, the two service providers WIIT and empiriecom will offer cloud and cyber security services as well as state-of-the-art store platforms from a single source in future. Customers will therefore benefit from high-performance and highly secure services for their e-commerce business.

E-commerce has been an essential part of retail for many years. This is also shown by statistics from Eurostat. According to these statistics, the proportion of online shoppers in the EU population rose from 20% to 68% between 2002 and 2022¹. This is another reason why established companies and start-ups are increasingly requesting solutions in the e-commerce environment. In order to address this growth market, the two service providers WIIT, a leading provider of cloud and cyber security services, and the e-commerce full-service partner empiriecom agreed a strategic partnership at the end of February.

The main aim of the partnership is to offer potential customers in Europe scalable and competitive products and services from the portfolios of both companies. This will provide customers with high-performance and highly secure platforms for their e-commerce business.

For empiriecom, the newly introduced cooperation is not the first point of contact with WIIT. For many years, empiriecom has been closely linked to the Stralsund-based business unit Boreus, which is part of WIIT AG.
