With the renaming of the former customer blog to ‘BAUR Community’, not only the name has changed, but also the dynamics within the team. Paula and Basti from the community team gave us an insight into their work, shared their goals and talked about how the community will continue to play a crucial role for the BAUR online shop in the future.
Paula started her apprenticeship at BAUR in 2021 as an e-commerce clerk. Even then, she was able to gain her first experience in the community team, and today she is an integral part of the team. Her tasks are varied - from researching topics and creating surveys to writing blog posts. She also takes care of evaluating the surveys, the results of which then help to make decisions for optimising the shop.
Paula is particularly enthusiastic about the direct line to customers. Their thoughts and opinions are incorporated into the design of the online shop. This close connection ensures that the community itself is actively involved in the further development of the shop.
Basti has been part of the community team for some time and accompanied Paula during her training. The two now work together as colleagues. He particularly enjoys being in direct contact with customers and analysing their feedback. This information helps the team to tailor the shop precisely to their needs.
For Basti, working in the community is more than just creating surveys. It's about gaining real insights that then lead to visible changes in the shop.
Paula's biggest challenge at the beginning was finding her feet in her new role and developing a certain routine. She received a lot of support from her team and is now very familiar with the topics. Both Paula and Basti agree that the community has even more potential. They want to develop the methods further in order to gain even deeper insights and implement the results in the shop in a targeted manner.
Paula's goal is to ensure that the online shop is even more customised to the wishes of customers. The community plays a central role in this by contributing directly to the design of the shop.
The collaboration in the community team is running smoothly. Paula feels really comfortable and appreciates the relaxed but productive atmosphere. Basti is pleased that she is now working with him as a colleague and is convinced that they will continue to form a good team.
What they both find particularly important: The feedback from the community. They read every single piece of feedback and try to incorporate it into future surveys and topics. The community is therefore not just a feedback channel, but a real co-designer of the shop.
With a dedicated team and the support of customers, the BAUR community will continue to play an important role in the future and further advance the online shop.
