Who are we?

empiriecom is a full service e-commerce partner working in- and outside the Otto Group.

With over 100 employees in 11 agile teams, we develop and operate state-of-the-art e-commerce solutions for onlineshops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Our vision is to provide better e-commerce solutions for a digital world.

Our mission is to continuously improve e-commerce. Our solutions are based on empirically gained insights and technical expertise. We all work efficiently and reliably and make our decisions focused and data-driven.

What do we do?

The core of our solution portfolio is the "empiriecom commerce suite" (shop-frontend, content management, product search, order management, apps) with which online retailers can operate modern e-commerce within a cloud environment and integrate any third-party systems using flexible APIs. Thanks to the modular architecture approach, the products of the commerce suite can be used individually or in combination.

In the business unit “Professional Services” (User Research, UX & UI Design, BI & Analytics, Agile Work), we support our clients in the integration and individual adaptation to to their system environment.

With more than 1.6 billion € order turnover per year, the empiriecom commerce suite is one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the DACH region.
