Me at empiriecom - why this could be a good fit?

You want to work in the field of e-commerce, are interested in new technologies and ways of working and have ideally already worked with Scrum, Kanban & Co? Perfect! Then empiriecom is definitely interesting for you!

We work in an innovative environment and want to be on the cutting edge of technology. Our company is integrated into the Otto Group, yet we act independently, as a start-up within the group. When I apply via your website, I am redirected to the BAUR job portal - is that a mistake?

No, everything is fine. We are part of the BAUR Group and therefore of the Otto Group. We work very closely with the BAUR Group's HR department and use their systems. This enables us to provide faster and better support for both applicants and employees. Don't worry, your application will arrive safely.

What documents should I add to my application?

Your application should include a cover letter and resume. If you like, feel free to add references, certificates or a project portfolio. The most important thing is that your documents make it clear why you want to be part of our team.

What does the application process look like after sending my application?

Our application process is divided into four stages. Currently, these all take place remotely via MS Teams.

After you have found us (or we have found you), the first step is to receive your documents and thus a first impression of you. If this matches our expectations, there will be a first meeting with our recruiter, who will accompany you through the whole process.

After a few days, you will receive feedback on whether it is a good fit for you and for us. If both sides agree, we will invite you to a second professional meeting with our recruiter and a specialist.

If the subsequent feedback from both sides is positive, we will arrange for you to get to know the team. It is extremely important to us that you get to know your potential future team.

Finally, there will be a meeting with the manager of the position to finalize the general conditions.

Once all your questions have been answered, you are happy with our offer and the works council has agreed to your proposal, our colleagues in the BAUR HR department will help us draw up the contract.

As soon as everything is in place, we will discuss the next steps until your first day, including the planning of the onboarding process.

What further training does empiriecom offer?

You will have numerous opportunities for further training within the BAUR Group and the Otto Group. We particularly value the internal exchange between experts from empiriecom, the BAUR Group and the entire Otto Group, for example in the form of job shadowing. In addition, we and the Group offer regular formats such as bar camps, communities of practice and open space workshops to provide room for new ideas and topics.

Of course, we also support you in your search for external training measures (certifications, trainings, conference visits, etc.) - as long as it benefits you, your team, empiriecom and fits your tasks. Feel free to bring in your wishes and ideas.

How can I develop myself at empiriecom?

Due to the agile way of working, empiriecom has very flat hierarchical structures. At empiriecom, advancement means that you can take on more responsibility and larger projects or specialize in a particular subject area. The continuous development of our employees, both on a professional and personal level, is a priority for us. You can play an active role in shaping the company by, for example, presenting new topics and ideas and then pushing them forward, either independently or as part of a team. The doors are open, what you do within this setting is entirely up to you!

What’s about working equipment?

You are welcome to make requests about what hardware you would like to work with. For example, you can choose the operating system of your laptop: Windows, Mac OS, Linux. You also have the option of reveiving a monitor, keyboard, mouse and docking station for your home office. It is important to us that you have the hardware you need to work well.
